Brevard county is known for its fabulous surfing along our beautiful ocean coast. And as every surfer knows some surf spots are better than others. Here’s a list of some of the favorite local spots known for their good waves and maybe some hang ten time!

Did you know that the Indian River is the longest section of Florida’s Indian River Lagoon system? The 150+ mile Indian River begins in New Smyrna Beach and stretches all the way towards Stuart moving through areas like Merritt Island, Sebastian and Vero Beach. It’s home to all kinds of wildlife such as alligators, manatees, dolphins, otters, raccoons and lots of fish!

As residents of the Space Coast, we are fortunate to live in a place that highlights the best of human potential when it comes to technology and exploration. As we witness the newest rockets launch into the atmosphere along our coastline, it allows us to reflect on the future of technology in our day-to-day lives and the future of the Space Coast Community. The forecasts are leaning towards clean energy. Our area is going solar and it all seems to have started with partnerships with NASA and Kennedy Space Center.

The Space Coast has been an idyllic place to live and work for many years and in recent years more people are discovering just how amazing it is to call our little piece of paradise home. Many factors have attracted a growing number of residents and businesses to our ‘Comeback Coast’, leading to the high demand for housing and commercial real estate. The Space Coast is quickly becoming Florida’s real estate hot spot!

Ellen Rubino, Lic. Real Estate Associate Agent with RE/MAX AEROSPACE REALTY in Brevard County, was recently presented with the Above the Crowd Award for the RE/MAX Florida Region Brokers. She was presented with the award at a dinner event at the Chart House at the end of January.

According to the Milken Institute, “Brevard propelled to second by strong one-year wage (third) and job growth (eighth). The Space Coast improved on last year’s breakout performance, transforming one-year gains into long-term jobs (13th) and wage growth (16th). This continued success is largely due to a diversified, high-tech industrial base, including a significant part of the national aerospace and defense industries.”
